Hip-Hat-Hooray 2007

Hip-Hat-Hooray was back, and what a success!!! Definatly the best year yet!!
Taking place all along Northumberland Street colourful street Artists brightened the day, and you could feel the magical vibe all around!!

The inside of The Gate came to life with aerial performances throughout the two days, fantastic sets from the Hang Girls and Charlie Carpenter, and those of you lucky enough to see them perform, were also blessed to hear the wonderful compering of Steve Cousins!!

This year the People's Choice Award, went to Scoot who won by more than a few votes, he was 'Stoked' to win, as he told the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, he said 'I love this place, It's my first time to the UK and I have never won anything before in my life!!!'

And in case all you fans are wondering, a 7 year old local girl won the Newcastle Football Strip T-Shirt, and judging by her smile, she was happy about that too!!
