Hip-Hat-Hooray is Newcastle-Upon-Tyne's (U.K.) International Busking Festival.

This year, 2008 the festival is NOT taking place, due

to various circumstances, but if you want it to happen in

2009 let us know about it, the more public demand the

more chance this will be a continued project!!

On the 20th and 21st August 2005 Hip-Hat-Hooray Buskers Rendezvous, took over Northumberland Street, for the first time, with a colourful and exciting array of performers, to brighten the already warm footpath.

This was such a success with all who enjoyed it, it continued in 2006, and in 2007!
The festival takes place along Northumberland Street, with acrobats, balloon twistologers, balancing stunts, and comedy from around the world, whilst inside The Gate over the weekend of the festival there were aeriel acrobatics and face painting for all to enjoy!!
